Description: This is an interesting World War II coin from the Philippines. 1944-S 50 centavos piece, made of 75% silver. Coin came from my Grandfather's effects, and was probably acquired during his travels in Asia with the US Army Air Corps after the war. I am not an expert in numismatics by any stretch, but I would rate this coin VG+. Detail is excellent, with only the slightest wear to the coin surfaces. There is some tarnish on the reverse side. I have not cleaned it in any way except to wipe fingerprints with a soft chamois cloth. A rare and interesting coin because of the subject matter, and ready to take a place in your collection! The photos are of the very coin you are bidding on, not a "similar" item. I do not accept returns, but I will gladly provide further photos or information about this piece until you are comfortable.
