Description: Vintage Narragansett Park horse racing program from September 2, 1939 featuring the Narragansett Special, which at the time was one of the top races for older horses in the country. This was won by the great Hall of Famer Challedon and also included many other top runners, including Seabiscuit's stablemate Kayak II running for owner Charles S. Howard, trainer Tom Smith and jockey George Woolf. Also in here was Ligaroti, who had a famous match race at Del Mar against Seabiscuit, and top runner Thanksgiving. This has a fair amount of writing, as pictured, but no rips or tears. Please review the photos and use the magnify feature to review the condition.
