Description: FRANCE Informative 1930s Tourist Brochure with 32 Heavily Illustrated Pages This is a fine pre-World War II English language tourist brochure featuring in-depth details about the country of France, its historic churches and castles, art, museums, gastronomy and wines, universities, winter and summer sports, spas, hotels, etc. It is designed for tourists traveling by “autocar” and using the French Railways and contains many maps. The 8-⅝ x 9 inch, 32-page FRANCE brochure is undated but pictures show cars from the 1930s. It was produced by J. Barreau et Cie. and printed in France for the American market. It has the stamp of A.G. Vanstrum & Co Tourist Agency in Minneapolis MN on the front and back covers and on several pages. At one time it was folded through the center but it has been stored flat for a long time now, away from light.
