Description: 1853 Large Cent, almost highest Very Fine condition, in a rich brown color with shiny tone in the highlights of features. In addition, possibly for the error coin collectors or just those seeking something different, the obverse was struck off-center and to the left, as you can see in the photo. You can see something else on the same side - a lamination error running from five to almost nine o' clock; we checked and indeed saw the lamination line running under Liberty's hair curls, so the break was there first. We looked on eBay and saw a couple more 1853s with offset strikes; perhaps some were run on a Friday in 1853??? We set this as the lowest price compared to what we saw online. This could be yours!
