Description: Although these notes were printed by the State Print Shop of Chihuahua, as demanded by Pancho Villa, and bear the title of the General Treasury of the State of Chihuahua, they are considered to be military issues because they bear the name of "General Pancho Villa" who ordered them up for the main purpose of paying his troops since the Carranza government would not send enough to do so for that purpose. Also one of the smaller of the "Sabanas de Villa" or "Villa's Bed Sheets" since the higher denominations were much larger than the currently circulating government and bank issued notes.
