They were introduced as a ball for the accomplished golfer interested in a softer feel than the ProV1. Some balls may have tiny scratches and some may have slight discoloration from exposure to the sun or the red clay based soil in CT. I would not describe any used golf ball as "Mint" since as soon as a ball is used it starts to acquire small scratches and very tiny defects.
