Instead of the original rat tail tang , this replica was given a full tang for added strength. The blade keeps the traditional style. It is a great khukuri knife. Due to it’s quickness, it is a great knife for trekking, self defense and general survival use. Handle shape follows the traditional style. It comes with the 2 traditional side knives and traditional style scabbard. One of the side knives is a small sharp knife for utility called a Karda knife and the other is a dull flat piece of hardened steel called Chak Mak and used to hone the blade in the field. Your Kukri blade is made of Carbon Steel and can rust easily. In case of rusting rub it with a fine sandpaper, clean the dirt using some oil or gasoline and wipe it with a clean soft cloth then apply oil. Check the blade frequently and apply oil regularly. 4. Use shoe polish for the leather sheaths. Use brass polish or silver polish (the type used for brass fittings or sliver sheaths). 5.
