Description: Here we have a vintage model 'O' scale 40' stock car. It is built of wood, has decent detail parts and is fairly clean. It is equipped with Carl Auel trucks and insulated wheel sets and has a wooden under frame. I have not determined who manufactured this model---and I am suspecting that this could be a "one of a kind" scratch-built or kit-bashed model. It appears to be well crafted, probably by a long gone 'O' scaler of yore. This model appears to me to be worthy of a rebuild---either for display or operation. It is basically well built and sound, but needs a fresh roof walk, and a new brake wheel staff. The end panels have excellent detailing, the doors are sound and slide open properly. If you like to rebuild classic old rail car models, take a good look at this old cattle car! It has its charm and was built with a classy touch.
