Make sure that the cover is on tight and that the egg crate does not extend so close to the top of the enclosure that the roaches can crawl out (a good inch from top edge to top of eggcrate is ideal). [Housing Temperature & Humidity] Although Hissing Roaches can survive at room temperatures of 60-70F, they require an ambient temperature of 78-85F to successfully breed. You may wish to use a heat pad or heat lamp in order to provide them with warmth. Hissing Roaches can survive at high room humidity, but it's recommended to keep the humidity range between 70-80%). [Feeding] Keep a small food and water bowl in their home. We recommend using water crystals, any dry roach feed, along with adding in some fresh fruit, or vegetables. We have found feeding once to twice a week works well.
